1963 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Normale found in a barn in Rhinebeck NY in July of 2009. After weeks of work we finally attempt to start the engine.

    @LBJMCKEOUGH i take my words back all the tricks u mentioned are done only by alfisti
    but the starter thing is way wrong , crank? 10 secs stop anoher 10 then again or else u gonna heat up the starter

    @BayouBluesMan You’ve obviously never started a car that sat for years. We had 2 problems, first the exhaust system turned out to be full of acorns & other? crap. We even had a shop vac attached to the tail pipe sucking as we started it. Second it turned out the choke could not operate because it was missing a part which is now fixed. We had two batteries connected in parallel and did not in any way damage the starter. Three years later it is running perfectly!

    if i was there i’d smack the driver in the? head , u don’t crank the car continuously for 10 minutes u retards u ‘ll burn the starter, u guys need another 8 years of ownership to get with the flow
